Rabbi Olan and Joshua Hirsch, circa 1981-1983.

Grandson Joshua Hirsch shares these special memories:

[I] remember the time I was interested in Marxism in college and I asked him what his opinion of it was, and he said he could believe in “From each according to his [sic] ability, to each according to his need,” but not the dictatorship of the proletariat.

Also my friend Jenny recalled from when she was confirmed and he kissed her, “He had really soft lips!”
