Dear loyal readers and listeners,
Some of you have been with us from the start. Others have joined recently and missed the early years. For one and all, the writing team has some good news to share. Starting THIS THURSDAY, we are going to rewind the clock and begin re-posting our original content from the beginning. This time around we will post sermon introductions and / or quotations twice a week: on Monday and Thursday afternoons. We might sneak in an occasional picture at other times, as well.
Is that too much? We think not! Each sermon lasts only about 15 minutes. Are you really too busy to invest 15 minutes twice a week listening to thoughtful discourse, considering complex social issues, and connecting to prophetic spiritual values? Perhaps… but give it a try. I like to think of it as a regular mental and spiritual workout.
As always, we invite you to join our mailing list and to encourage your friends to do the same. The Olan sermons are from more than half a century ago, but much of his content remains amazingly relevant. And, yes- it is free to all. Our gift to you from Bridwell Library, SMU; the Temple Emanu-El Archives, Dallas; the American Jewish Archives, Cincinnati; copyright owner Liz Hirsch; and the blog writing team.
